Hello my name is Alex, I’ve always had a strong love for art. Coming from an artistic family, I enjoyed drawing as a child. My grandpa was a cartoonist, while my dad had his own graphic design business for 30 years, and now here I am keeping the tradition alive. It all started after High school when I really fell in love with photography, particularly photographing nature. It was a great hobby, I even took a few college classes in film and in digital photography. In 2014 however, it was somewhat cut short due to an unfortunate health reason. Within those 5 or so years though, I had taken a lot of pictures. This time I had to get creative, so I came up with the idea to recreate my photographs with pencil. It was years since I’d picked up a pencil, let alone draw. It took me a few months to really hone my craft. But once I got going, and word spread, it really took off. My favorite places to sit and draw at are coffee shops and or small cafes, by doing this it helps me gain more exposure. I finally drew my first ever portrait back in 2016, and it turned out great! Even I was surprised on how well it came out. But it was at that moment though where I realized that this is what I was meant to do all along.. and I haven’t stopped since!
